What would make a productive office?

You thought about the chessboard, which would keep your mind off the daily tasks. And a game or two could teach you a few things about dealing pressure. You had a change of mind after you realized that you wanted fun. A bowl of popcorn could keep you company during those busy moments. It might lose your focus, though. How about a bed? You really needed a power nap. Then again, you might get too comfortable. You would end up dozing for several hours.

You were told about the right culture that could help you during those working hours. It was supposed to make you feel like you weren't working at all, but you were motivated by perks. (It started during your first year in the university. Long story.) It wouldn't be enough, though. It shouldn't be related to work. A little fun won't do any harm. You have thought of five items:

Bean bags. You imagined how the workplace could be more attractive if there were bean bags not far from your area. And it would come in different colors. Your favorite ones. You wouldn't mind lying on it, even sleeping for as long as half an hour. But you would have one problem. You were a neatness freak. You don't like any folds and creases in your suit.

Soccer. You were a huge fan of soccer, and you were sad about not traveling to France. It turned out that your favorite team lost to an unheralded opponent. And it was nice for the home fans to be clapping their hands while they went out of the stadium. You were itching to invite your colleague to a few minutes of playing ball, but everyone seemed too occupied about what they were doing. You might muster a courage next Friday.

Kitchen. You imagined a sizable area, where several people could dine together and chat about their daily lives. It could be an imitation of Central Perk, and there would be an unlimited supply of coffee. You won't mind preparing a tasty dish to your colleagues, but you don't know a thing about cooking. Chips and beer might make it up.

Pizza. You preferred lots of cheese, sprinkled with bacon. You were warned about its ill effects, but you won't be deprived of it. You tried your (college) best to stick to a diet, and you had moderate success so far. It must be the streaky bacon, which could be the best thing that happened to you during a hectic week.

TV. The game the other day reminded you about something. You haven't turned on the TV in ages. It alarmed you because you used to be up to date with pop culture. And then it dawned on you. There was nothing to worry about. You had a life, but you wondered if you turned into a workaholic.

You reckoned to share it with your colleagues next week. If someone invited you for rounds of ale the Friday after next. You wanted to tell your boss, but not now at least.
