It's Monday, and you're having a bad day

It's the first day of the week, and it didn't turn out to be a good one. What can be worse than a bad day on a Monday? Another (bad) one the following week. You spend the rest of the week wondering about the reasons. Let's count the ways:

Your neighbor's dog keeps on barking. You like your neighbor for being mindful of his neighbors, but the last weekend would surprise you. He might have brought a new dog. His best friends are trying to get to know each other. It can be the food. You want to remind him of the noise, but you're too lazy to get off the bed. The heavy eyes would happen unexpectedly.

The alarm clock was set for 7 PM. You were a meticulous individual, so this could be a rare slip on your part. However, you thought long and hard about it. You have wondered about spontaneity all these years. As a student, you were tempted many times. But you didn't want to disappoint the members of the faculty. You made a promise.

The missing pen. You knew how a lost item would ruin a day. As a matter of fact, you almost missed the deadline of your assignment many moons ago. You resolved to use your iPad to keep notes and list (of errands), but it was hard to get rid of old habits. This one might prompt you to turn on a new page.

Your colleagues don't have the heart. They weren't cold to you, but they don't want to embarrass you. Four hours and a lunch later, you noticed a parsley stuck on your front tooth. You consoled yourself with the thought that your boss didn't notice it.

Who created the table? The pen fell off, and it was your instinct to pick it up immediately. You wanted to do things quickly, and it happened that you bumped your head into the table. You didn't notice your colleagues, who were concerned about your grimacing. You struggled not to curse the person who first thought of the table. You tried to put it behind, but you were unable to do it.

You heard your least favorite song. You weren't one of those people (in the workplace) who likes to listen to Justin Bieber's songs.

You failed in the sorting department. You were known to be an organized individual, but you couldn't put back the items in the box the way they came. You kept on telling yourself that you should have remembered it, which didn't help you at all.

You won't use a hand cream. Ever. You were unable to turn the door knob. And you were forced to call out for assistance. You could imagine the butt of jokes.

Something hit your ankle. It was the beginning of the series of unfortunate events, which you would blame on a trolley. It affected your concentration in the workplace. You would ask your neighbor about it.

You didn't get enough sleep. You were too engrossed in football the night before the first day (of the working week).

How about you? Don't be ashamed.
