Here are the latest trends in job hunting

You read a news about Facebook, which would alarm you. It will become a public domain. You haven't deleted your embarrassing photos that were taken during the full-moon party in Thailand. And you didn't have the time to ask your friend a favor. (Not to tag you on images that you might regret later.) First and foremost, this is a hoax. It's also not a trend that might affect job hunting.

If you're about to look for a job, then you might have some time to think about the future. Have a look at the following:

More people use the mobile phone. You figure out that this is old news, but you don't seem to pay attention to your surroundings. More and more people use their mobile phones for social media, even go online. It doesn't mean that the days of desktop computers, laptops, and iPads are numbered, but it can happen soon. A cell phone is a valuable item, which can be brought anywhere. This device comes in handy during traffic. This can influence job hunting in many ways. It won't be long before applicants will be introduced to an app, where they can send their resumes. It won't be the conventional type (of resume), as this one will require certain information. This will lead to the next item.

Some companies won't require a CV. This piece of paper may not be an accurate description of an applicant's work experience, as the applicant must decide on key information. It's rather a subjective matter, but it's still mandatory. There are companies that will look at the applicant's skills, and interests, social media, and any form of volunteering will come into play. It would hint about more employers looking for an applicant who can be a Jack of all trades. And this format can be convenient on a mobile phone.

More companies will pay attention to Generation Z. This won't mean that certain employees are huge fans of pop rock bands like Gin Blossoms, but they might be watching reruns of "Friends". These youngsters like to be hooked to gadgets. And they might have separation anxiety if they don't have a mobile phone. Employers will consider it.

There can be a new game on job hunting. Why not play it? There are many benefits. Members of Generation Z will be less nervous about the job interview. They will imbibe the competitive spirit while looking for a job. (And it can keep them motivated after a rejection.) There might not be a better way to kill time (while waiting). The list goes on and on.

It's a brave new world. Change is constant. Everyone must adapt to the ever-changing trends, and it's not bad as it seems. This might turn out to be convenient for everyone. And we won't see the last of mobile phones soon.

For the meantime, a resume is the first step in the job application process. There are a few rules to follow. It seems conventional, but technology won't make it different at all. It will be easier instead.
